Terms of Service

By using Nexis you agree to these terms. They cover what we provide, how you may use it, payments, and what happens if things go wrong.
1. The service
Nexis is a productivity workspace that captures voice notes and meeting audio, transcribes them, extracts tasks, and helps teams collaborate. We offer it under a freemium model with paid tiers detailed at /welcome#pricing.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You're responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account.
- Notify us at nexis.support@ekamspace.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Nexis to:
- Record meetings where applicable law requires consent you haven't obtained.
- Store or transmit malware, CSAM, or content that infringes third-party rights.
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or rebrand the service without written permission.
- Send spam, scrape data, or abuse rate limits in ways that degrade service for others.
- Probe or attack our infrastructure (responsible disclosure is welcome, see /security).
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with notice when practical.
4. Your content
You own everything you create or upload to Nexis: recordings, transcripts, tasks, messages. You grant us a narrow license to host, process, and display that content solely to deliver the service. We never train AI models on it. The license ends when you delete the content.
You represent that you have the right to upload anything you upload, including recordings of meetings, where you must have obtained whatever consent the local law and your meeting participants require.
5. Plans and billing
- The Free plan is free; the Pro plan is billed monthly per active user; Enterprise is custom.
- Paid plans renew automatically. Cancel any time from Settings, Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
- Refunds: full refund within 14 days of first payment, no questions asked. After that, on a case-by-case basis.
- Taxes (VAT/GST/etc.) are added where required by law.
6. Service availability
We target 99.9% uptime for paid plans. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Planned maintenance is announced in advance via email and the in-app status page.
7. Third-party platforms
When you connect Slack, Google Calendar, or other third-party services, you're also bound by their terms. We're not responsible for their uptime, data handling, or policy changes, though we'll do our best to keep integrations stable.
8. Disclaimers
The AI-extracted tasks and transcripts are aids, not authoritative records. They can be wrong, especially in noisy audio, heavy accents, or jargon-dense conversations. Review before relying on them for legal, medical, or financial decisions.
The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent allowed by law we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms is capped at the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Nexis against claims that arise from your content or your violation of these terms, for example, a participant suing because you recorded a meeting without consent. We'll let you control the defense in writing if you ask.
11. Termination
You may stop using Nexis at any time. We may terminate the service or your account for material breach of these terms, with notice. On termination your data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts of Shivamogga, Karnataka, India, except where your local consumer protection laws give you a stronger right to a local forum.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we email account owners 30 days before the new terms take effect. Continuing to use Nexis after the effective date means you accept the update; if you don't, cancel your account before then.
